MEET MARTY YOUNGER

Marty Younger was never brought up in a Christian home or had any teaching about God or the need for a Savior. His early life was centered around music due to his father being a musician. This captivated him at a very young age which naturally took his life in the same direction. After having to borrow other relatives guitars to try and play, he finally saved enough money to buy his own during grade school. Although he followed in his father’s footsteps in country & western, he soon wanted to play what the young people were interested in and that was Rock and Roll! By ninth grade Marty had his own band. He quickly developed his music skills by playing for parties, school assemblies, and any one that would listen. This soon turned into a great job all during high school and his first year of college, until God interrupted his life.

 

At 19 years of age, without knowing if there was a real God or not, the Lord stepped into his life. He spoke to him in an audible voice and called him to preach right in the middle of his Rock & Roll career. That very night Marty resigned from his music career and within one month was heading off to Bible School. 

 

Although Marty did not know any of the Bible stories that are familiar to most, he spent the next six years in Bible school having everything he could deposited into him to prepare him for his life's calling! While attending Bible school, he met and married Kathy, the woman that God had chosen to be his life time companion throughout his ministry. In August 2024 they will be celebrating their 52nd wedding anniversary.

 

In their last 51 years together, they have been an Associate Pastor, Lead Pastor of three different churches, as well as traveling on the Evangelist Field preaching revival services in several states. The last church they pastored was in Garden City, Kansas. Marty was also the Bible School Director at Trinity Church International for six years, which trained men and women who felt the call of God into the ministry. As an added blessing during that time he was the High School Bible teacher for 9th through 12th Grade students at Trinity Christian Academy for two years.

 

Marty has had a strong belief in the operation of the Five Fold Ministry Gifts imparting to the body of Christ. He believes in these last days that this is a must in equipping the saints for the work that God has called all of us to do. God has opened the doors of opportunity for them to travel across the county, ministering their part to the body of Christ. Whether it be through local church's, small groups of people, or even one on one as the Sprit leads.

 

Marty and Kathy flow together in ministry to allow God to move by the Holy Spirit in imparting to every believer that is opened to receive what God desires each of them to have. 

 

Marty feels that his next assignment is to open a Pod Cast as well as create YouTube content to share what he calls "Gold Nuggets" from the Word of God that he and Kathy have gained in over 50 years of full time ministry.
